Teaching

With years of experience teaching adults and children alike, Aoife can help you meet your musical goals. From a child first developing their musical gift, to adult students working in the industry, Aoife has a wealth of knowledge to improve their ability.

Some of Aoife's students have been admitted to prestigious musical theatre programs, prepared for recording sessions and performances, or passed their ABRSM examinations under Aoife's guidance.

Please contact Aoife directly for prices, as they can vary depending on student need and experience, lesson length, lesson location, and number of students. Aoife is an independent music teacher, so can be flexible with scheduling and pricing, and is reliant on word of mouth recommendations.

Vocal Coaching

With 15 years of advanced singing training under her own belt, Aoife can work with all students from beginning to advanced, in a variety of genres. While many vocal teachers force their students to work with classical repertoire, her personal philosophy is to help students meet their own goals within their genre of choice. Aoife has worked with children as young as three, to students in their sixties. She can help with pitch, tone, harmonization, sight reading and performance.

Piano Teaching

Aoife works with many young players from beginner to late-intermediate levels. She recommends students be close to five years old before starting classes. She generally follows the Faber Piano Adventures Series, though will be flexible when it best meets the student's needs. Aoife includes various exercises in composition, ear training, theory and improvisation to holistically develop a young musician's toolkit. Her philosophy is to develop players' personal confidence, with enough theory fundamentals that they can approach new pieces on their own, as opposed to progressing through a book as fast as possible.
