Aoife O'Connor

Aoife O'Connor is a musician, vocalist and vocal teacher based in Los Angeles, California. She began her career in entertainment as a music copyist for some of the most successful shows and films in film and television. She currently works in the music department at FIFTH SEASON and teaches with Angeles Academy of Music. Aoife has a bachelor's degree in Music from the University of California Berkeley and is affiliated with Angeles Chorale.

About Aoife

Aoife is an Irish musician who works as a vocalist, private vocal teacher and music assistant in Los Angeles. She currently assists Amos Newman, SVP of Music at FIFTH SEASON. She is proud to have worked on hit projects such as Apple TV+'s Severance, Paramount's 80 For Brady, Hulu's Life & Beth, and HBO's Tokyo Vice. At FIFTH SEASON she is the point contact developing the bespoke music library, Jaywalker. She additionally teaches voice and piano to students of all ages at Angeles Academy of Music, founded by Emmy award winner, Nathan Pangrazio. She is currently affiliated with The Angeles Chorale, directed by Dr. James Lent.

 

Prior to moving to Los Angeles in September 2021, Aoife worked as a Film, TV & Broadway copyist at JoAnn Kane Music Service. She worked on many notable projects including Tina! The Turner MusicalBarbra Streisand's 2019 National TourFamily Guy, Chasing Rainbows and Kiss My Aztec! 

As a performer, she has trained in clarinet performance, voice, piano and saxophone since she was 7. She achieved a diploma from the London College of Music for Musical Theatre performance in 2015. At UC Berkeley she began training with Allen Shearer for classical voice. During her undergraduate, she was involved with a variety of film and music related groups on campus, including CalTV, KALX Radio, Cal at Sundance, the California Golden Overtones, and both the UC Chorus the UC Chamber Choir. She served as guest conductor of the UC Berkeley Summer Chorus and directed a new musical, entitled Walls, in May 2019.
